SICAMM
International Association for the Protection of the European Dark Bee
is an international union of beekeepers, regional and national associations, institutions and other groups that support a set of agreed objectives concerning the conservation of the black bee. The website gives links to other European groups working for the preservation of the black bee.

BIBBA
Bee Improvement and Bee Breeders' Association
was founded 1964 by Beowulf Cooper and others for the conservation, restoration, study, selection, and improvement of the native or near-native honey bees of Britain and Ireland.

FIBKA
Federation of Irish Beekeepers' Associations
main objective is to unite the Beekeepers of Ireland for their mutual benefit and to encourage the participation in research in problems of Apiculture and generally to foster efficient beekeeping, honey production and marketing.
And also to promote the conservation of the native dark bee, Apis mellifera mellifera (although this may be debatable).

NIHBS
Native Irish Honey Bee Society
is recently formed to promote the conservation, study, improvement and reintroduction of Apis mellifera mellifera throughout the island of Ireland.

SNHBS
Scottish Native honey bee Society
is more recently formed to encourage beekeeping using Scottish native honey bees and promote their reinstatement within Scotland.
